FRANKLIN IDOL 8. Singers 18 years and older are needed for karaoke contest held during the Franklin Civic Celebration Festival on July 3. Auditions are held by appointment from 9:30 to 11:30 p.m. every Thursday at the Bowery Bar and Grill, 3029 W. Ryan Road, Franklin. Singers under 21 years of age must be accompanied by a person 21 years old or older. There are no fees to enter and 15 contestants will be chosen to sing for prizes of $500, $250 and $100.
