FRANKLIN IDOL 9 CONTEST. Singers are needed for the karaoke
contest to be held during the Franklin Civic Celebration Festival on
July 3. Auditions will be 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. every Thursday night
in May and June at the Bowery Bar and Grill, 3029 W. Ryan Road,
Franklin. Singers younger than 21 must be accompanied by a person 21
years old or older. There are no fees to enter, and 15 contestants will
be chosen to sing for prizes of $500, $250 and $100. Information: John
